The original 'pure silk' duvets, both filling and casing is made entirely from the highest quality silk using techniques based on traditional Japanese methods. This makes them exceptionally light and supple, and also means that they will keep their shape and properties for years longer than a down duvet.

Silk duvets are very different to traditional down duvets. For an equivalent level of warmth, a pure silk duvet will always be significantly thinner and lighter than a down one.

Single - 135 x 200cm
Double - 200 x 200cm
King - 225 x 220cm
Duvets are available in three weights (measured by grams per square metre), each of which is suitable for a different temperature range:
225gsm - comfort temperature range over 20°C (approx 2 - 4 tog)
350gsm - comfort temperature range 17° to 23°C (approx 7 - 9 tog)
550gsm - comfort temperature range 14° to 21°C (approx 11 - 13 tog)
Since silk duvets have very different properties to down duvets (which the tog ratings were designed for), tog ratings are offer only a rough guide.
Duvets do not need to be washed do the anti-dustmite properties of silk, but a regular airing in the sun is recommended. Duvets can be dry cleaned. Spot cleaning can be done with a mild detergent.
