ELECTRISAVE MONITOR - FURTHER INFORMATION
How does the Electrisave work? The Electrisave is made of up three components: a sensor, a transmitter and a display monitor. The sensor clips onto the power cable that comes out of your electricity meter. It reads the electric current and sends information via a cable to the transmitter. The transmitter then sends the information to the portable display monitor, which displays your electricity use, electricity cost (in pounds and pence) and carbon emissions. It can be moved from room to room or left in one place (e.g. sitting on the counter or fixed to a wall).
As well as measuring the overall level of electricity use in your home you can measure the impact of individual appliances. Simply switch appliances on and off and watch the reading on the monitor go up and down. You'll quickly be able to see which appliances are using, or wasting, the most energy.
