The birdie's branch appears to be magically attached to your books, holding them together apparently effortlessly. What you can't see is the secret to this illusion - magnets!
A metal L-shaped plate is placed inside the cover of the end book. This supports the books, holding them upright, and the birdie bookend is magnetically attracted to it on the outside of the cover.

The bookends are handmade in Mexico from sandcast recycled aluminium. Each piece is individually finished by hand, making it unique and reflecting the natural variation and organic beauty found in nature.
